The whole range of ZZ hot rolled steel sheet piles can be delivered in steel grades according to the European standard EN 10248 ÔÇô1,British Standards (BS) EN 10248-2:1996.
Not all sections are available in all steel grades. Standardized yield strengths start at 240 MPa and go up to 430 MPa. The tables below summarize the current availability.

Based on the recommendations of EC 3, part 5 the values of the tensile resistance Ft,Rd and the axial force of the anchor under characteristic loading Ft,ser have been calculated by using the partial factors YMO = 1,0; YM2 = 1,25; and YM3, ser = 1,1. The partial factor Kt = 0,6. As/g is the tensile stress area of the threaded portion or the gross cross-sectional area of the shaft, whichever is smaller.
The calculated tensile resistance is:
- Ft,Rd= MIN (Ftt,Rd ; Ftg,Rd).
- Ftt,Rd= Kt * fua / YM2.
- Ftg,Rd= Ag * fy / YMo.
The axial force of the anchor under characteristic loading:
- Ft,serÔëñ fy * As/g / YM3,ser.
